Yes, Jenson Button had won the F1 Driver Championship
at Interlagos, Brazil !
While he did not win the race, he did race aggressivelyto get from 14th to 5th.
That was enough points in the bag for him to be crowned
2009 Driver Champion.
There are talks about if he is indeed a worthy Champion..Much debate on it but an article from BBC is a good read
