28 Dec
Was in on Sunday, 27 Dec, to get some track time, which I
reckon it will be the last session for 2009.
So I will see my babe next year!
And I got this when I reached...
That said much about the community we have there!
Nice
It was a day that I'm struggling with front tires wear since
I had been using it for some time now and more so with
the lack of sleep the previous night.
Only 2-3 hours of it!
It does reflect on the driving quite a fair bit once I did
beyond 10 laps or so.
So here it is, if I want to race competitively rest/ sleep is
very very essential the days before the event.
Thankfully, KP and me were there just to 'play'
Another reason I was there because Lennie had informed me
earlier in the week that he had a friend, Andrew, who like to
shoot us in action.
Since Andrew is a good photographer, he will be shooting us
with a camera, and not a firearm!
And so, we were 'model' for a day along with our toys.
Models without a face!
The pics here are downloaded from
http://www.flickr.com/photos/andrewjktan/4219015304/in/photostream/
where you can find more of Andrew's master piece.
Importantly, the res of the pics are poorer than the original.
So I guess one of the task for 2010 is to get the masterpieces
from the Master.
But you will probably have to agree even the lower
res ones are good.

KP stopped short by a spin, resulted from a fun kart
spinning in front of him. Unfortunate. Me as a moving 'Model' :
the last one is very cool... it's like where machine and
nature co-existing very nicely
Anyway, that's that for 2009!
For the coming year, I wish everyone "enough" !

I wish for myself to be ever improving, so to have
a chance or two for some wins.
Here's somewhere I can detail my humble go kart adventure. I hope I can share my experience and knowledge I come across so that others karters like myself can learn from it... and Go Faster! Since I am also a keen motorsports fan, I will get some of that here too.

a Review - Personal Critic
This is how it end after 10 races in Plentong Kart Track
for 2009. I had 43 points.
But what does all that mean?
Not much, frankly.
A quick review of the year 2009 will see the earlier part of
the year been bad because of race accidents, settings issues
and even engine problems...etc
Then when I feel I could race more competitively with
KP's kart, the engine gave way.
However, it gave me a glimpse of what I can do with a better
chassis and a better engine. Basically, I realised if I do want to
do better I need better equipment.
So arrived brand new GP10 chassis! ButI struggled somewhat
with the settings. Even worse was when I hurt my ribs pretty
badly.
Six weeks out. Can't run, can't swim, can't even sleep properly...
During then, I did not really realised how much fitness was
lost until I started to race in the last 2 races. It was tough.
Have to pick up the pace through more running and
swimming.
During which I also constantly looked to improve the
chassis settings, and the driver skill, technique
I think slowly and painfully the overall package had
improved during the period of time.
But make no mistake, there is still so much more to be
done in improving my own technique and understanding
the equipment.
I think I will have to move on from just focusing in driving
to Racing. Race Craft.
To improve in racing, I guess I have to say out loud to myself,
' i'm no good in racing!! '
' i have to prepare to take more risk '
' i want to overtake '
before a race and have my own mentality ready for a race.
At times, I feel or being retold to me that I may be too 'gentle'
on the track.
Perhaps I am... but I will be sure to adjust that attitude a little
once the green flag dropped the next time out.
Yes, that will be one of the main point to improve in 2010
along with the rest
A tougher mentality.
A meaner attitude.
A 'I Wanna Win' way
I will take this opportunity to wish everyone who chance upon
this humble blog of mine Merry Chirstmas! Happy Holidays!
cheers!
